Emotional Eating


             Emotional Eating is always a way of eating to reduce or suppress negative emotions such as stress, fear, boredom, brooding, depression, sadness, anger, and loneliness. It means turning food to a source of comfort, that is, eating food not because you are hungry but because you need to eat something to give you comfort.

An Emotion eater is prone to weight gain because he /she eats anytime the urge comes and there is no limitation to the amount of food taken or the kind of he/she desires. It is going to be a difficult task for an emotional eater to have a weight loss and this article will let us know what to do to stop this habit and lose weight thereafter.

      Ensure you do not eat while working, watching TV, or driving. You are tending to either eat less or overeat when distractions are allowed and this isn’t ideal for an individual who wants to have a weight loss.

  • Stop eating before you are full

      Do not feel you should always clean your plate each time you have a meal, you do not have to be full before you stop eating.


Weight loss can not be achieved when you are an emotional eater, you have to quit that habit before you think about losing weight.
